By accessing or using Resume Builder ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Resume Builder is an online platform that allows users to create, edit, and export professional resumes. The Service includes features such as rich text editing, live preview, PDF export, AI-assisted proofreading, version history, and multiple templates.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account using either email credentials or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create resumes containing false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means to access the Service without our permission
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit system vulnerabilities

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the content you create using the Service, including all resume text and data you enter. The Service itself, including its design, code, templates, and branding, is owned by Resume Builder and protected by intellectual property laws.

6. Credits & Payments

Certain premium features, including AI-powered tools, require credits. Credits can be purchased through the platform. All purchases are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

7. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features such as proofreading and the AI Coach. These features are provided as assistive tools and their suggestions should be reviewed by you before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resume Builder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
